REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum: > 1 GB of RAM, > 1,6 Ghz Processor, 20GB of free harddisk
Recommend: > 4 GB RAM, > 1,6 Ghz Dual-Core-Processor, > 50 GB of free harddisk

Qiana Studio supports ONLY modern 64bit-processors (CPU).
ON SYSTEMS WITH 32bit-PROCESSORS IT WON`T BE BOOTING!

-> For older 32bit-processors and/or old netbooks without 64bit ressources (some Atom-CPUs e.g.) take the stable and pure Maya Studio 13.07-32bit-version.

It is running on older computers the same fast and good, like on modern computers and it’s supported with updates until March 2017!



DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL

After downloading the iso-image of QIANA STUDIO burn the image on dvd or with a program like w32diskimager on an usb-device with minimum 4 GB free space:

Instructions how to burn it on a usb-stick: 

Windows: Just download Universal-USB-Installer or W32DiskImager from
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/
or https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/

Install it and use the app to burn the downloaded .iso-file on a
FAT32-formated Flash-drive!

Note: If you use the "persistence"-option you make a live-system which
is able to save changes in the system.
Without "persistence"-option the live-system don't save updates and
changes and starts from the beginning after rebooting!

Also there is an official Ubuntu way how to burn it on usb-drive:

MacOSX: CREATING A BOOTABLE USB-LIVE-STICK FOR MAC!

Now you can boot and test Qiana Studio 64 as an usable live-system

or
Install it from the booted live-system with the INSTALL-Button from desktop or ControlCenter onto your harddisk!

UEFI/MULTIBOOT:
Qiana Studio supports UEFI –> but it’s recommend to disable Secure Boot!
Multiboot with excisting operation-systems like Windows/OSX is supported too!
-> check if your Windows/MAC-system was installed with UEFI! (multiboot only!)

-> boot usb-live-system in uefi-modus (“Ubuntu”)
-> choose the automatic installer or take “something else” for advanced options:

-> mark windows/uefi-bootloader-partition (fat32/GUID/GPT) for bootloader

-> Install QS after partitioning an ext4-partition > 20GB with mountpoint: /
    and a second partition with the same size of your RAM as SWAP!

If UEFI-Modus makes problems choose Legacy-BIOS-Mode or CSM-Compability-Mode and disable UEFI/SecureBoot in your BIOS-settings (RECOMMEND!):

-> delete fat32/GUID/GPT-partition! (NOT recommend with multiboot!)
-> Rewrite your MBR/Partitiontable!
-> Write the boatloader to sda or Linux-system partition!

-> In DEMO-MODE you are free to use all feautures of Bitwig Studio “live” and making music without the limitations of 8-track - but you can’t save and export
your projects without registration and buying/having a key!

-> With LICENCE-KEY you can activate pre-installed Bitwig 8-Track!
–> If you should have or buy the full STUDIO-VERSION you have to uninstall
the 8-track/demo-version and to download & install it from the Bitwig-website!
